I caught a taxi from Gdansk airport with no problems and paid 12 Euro. Some taxi drivers don't accept Euro (only Zloty) but accept credit card payments. The accomodation is in a normal house so you need to meet the owner to get a key. The room i stayed in was clean and there was everything i needed. The location is out of the way so you need to find transport ( i was meeting someone who drove me around). The person in charge was very helpful and ordered a taxi for me when i left.
I stayed there during my three days trip to Gdansk. I really liked it. It's more than a simple hostel, because the rooms are big and comfortable. There is a bathroom in each floor and some of them have the bath tube and others have the shower. Everything is very tidy and clean and you can also enjoy a huge living room and a kitchen well equipped. Avarage prices and kind owner. Only one weakness: it's quite far from the city centre.
We've spent a couple of days in Zakoniczynka. The place is great. Big clean rooms. Very friendly owners, flexible and helpful. The place is situated to the tram stop and two supermarkets. Really easy access to the Old Town. Fully recomended.
We really like this accommodation. It offers great value for small budget. Very friendly and uncomplicated hosts, who are flexible. We arrived earlier than stated and they gave us other beds than ordered. It's a lovely furnished house. Two supermarkets (2 min walk), tram and bus stop (4 min) with direct connection to the city centre of Gdansk (15min or 10min respectively). However, the breakfast wasn't enough and was too simple. We expected more, but I think others are happy with it. A positive example is the basket of fruits. It is not common and we liked it. I'm sure the hosts will improve it.
